COMMUNITY: community engagement
EastBanc-W.D.C. Partners has hosted or participated in 48 community meetings on the redevelopment of the West End Library and Fire Station Sites since January, 2007.
We have been working with members of the West End Library Friends, ANC 2A, , Foggy Bottom Association, WECA, DCPL, DCFEMS and a number of resident associations in order to ensure that all voices are heard and that the consensus of the community is reflected in our plans and the way we proceed with this project if selected.
Our historic success pursuing Planned Unit Developments (PUD’s) and entitlements in the West End and Georgetown is the direct result of our ability to work closely with these communities to forge a consensus plan that they will support when we get to the Zoning Commission.
If selected to develop the West End projects we will continue to work closely with the community to design a project that will be widely embraced and supported.
This website is our first commitment to provide easily accessible information about our proposal to the community and a quick way for everyone in the community to contact us with their thoughts and questions. We will keep it updated throughout the selection, pre-development and development process.
